Ferran Guallart Ramos model nº090-B

Enjoy top art in the privacy of your own home from the renowned Castilian ceramic artist Ferran Guallart Ramos (º1938).

Together with his brothers Alberto and Rafael, Ferran learned the basics of ceramics and drawing from their famous father Rafael Guallart Carpi in the family workshop. At the School of Fine Arts and Craftwork he learned skills from eminent artists such as Tomás Colón Bauzano, Francesc Gimeno Barón and Ramón Catalán Tomás.

Next to his drawing and ceramic abilities he was also schooled in engraving in the workshop of Sánchez and Corral. This led to important commissions by Spanish Queen Sophia and (then) Prince Philipe.

Just like his father and brother before him he took up a professorship in ceramics in 1979 at the School of Fine Arts and Craftwork.

Since the 80’s the artist has been involved in prestigious restoration projects of important national monuments such as the Escorial and the Convent of Tordesillas among others.

His Model nº 090-B was sourced locally in the 60’s. Let this dazzling, vibrant work of art make a statement in your home. Looks fab over a matching period dresser or fire place. It can also do service as a coffee table top when fitted with legs and a protective glass pane.
