Gmundner Keramik jug

This fine green glazed jug comes from the Gmundner Keramik factory in Austria.

From 1968 the focus shifted from decorative artwork to tablewear.

Christine Reuter joined Villeroy & Boch as a chief designer in the late 1960's.

Reuter designed some iconic patterns such as the Acapulco, Cadiz and Scarlett designs using vibrant, bright colours. This sausière adorned with a blue stylized fish is from the 'Viking' range.

Reuter also worked as a designer for Jasba Keramik.
