Amphora Perignem style ashtray

A striking lively orange 1960's ashtray. Similar designs and vibrant objects were made during the Amphora and Perignem (Belgium), Vallauris (France) and Knabstrup (Denmark) hayday. Round ashtrays and buffet dishes were made with similar decoration patterns in bright orange and yellow colours. Items are always signed with 'F. Sanchez' on the bottom.

The orange is almost fluorescent, a nice contrast with the chocolate brown stoneware with metallic finish.
