Carstens jug vase model 1531

A striking Carsten Tönnishof jug vase model 1531 with an acid green glaze and crusty lava glaze ('Schaumglasur').

The inside of the vase is also glazed.

Artistic directors were Trude Carstens (active 1947-1965) and Rudolf Christmann (1966-1968). Carstens only made a limited number of each vase design.
