An imposing tall vase with a matte brown glaze and a swirl of white dates from the post 1955 period when Ilkra Keramik was producing striking vase shapes and glazes. Designers active for Ilkra during the 1950's and 60's are Ernst Werner, Edmund Peter and Josef Koch.
Similar decor (brown background with white details and a yellow glazed interior) can be found in vases produced by Eckhardt & Engler.
