This vase model 269 with the iconic slender chimney design and bulging base with handle which can be found in many diverse glazes and sizes. The inside has a rich yellow glaze with matching minimalist dabs of yellow and turquoise on the outside. The décor dates from around 1960 and the shape is based on the conical model 271 created by Heinz Siery for Scheurich in the late 1950's. The vase can be dated between 1962 and 1968 and was probably part of Scheurich's 'Europ Linie' which were destined for export outside Germany. The vase is in mint condition.
